Report on the detention of Black Consciousness activists.

Steve Biko, (see also under POLITICAL TRIALS) and Peter Jones, of the Black Community Programmes, were detained under the Terrorism Act on 19 August and held in Port Elizabeth. A few days later three other BPC employees were detained following a police raid on their office in Kingwilliamstown. They were Mrs Nohle Mohapi, widow of Mapetla Mohapi who died in detention, Miss Nosipho Keti and Miss Xoliswa Ngabeni.
