Six persons associated with the universities in the W. Cape were arrested early in March in connection with ANC pamphlet bomb explosions in 1976-7. Their names were given as Tim JENKIN (29) research fellow at University of Western Cape, Steven LEE (26) UCT sociology student, Daphne SMITH, UCT librarian, Ferosa IBRAHIM and West German biochemistry students Klause HARMUT and Harry HIRT. The last four are expected to give evidence for the state and have been released.
