On 10 March ten persons detained under Section Ten of the Internal Security Act were released. They were Percy Qoboza, Moses Chikane of SASO, Rev. Legotlo of Pretoria, T.V. Sehume, Ellen Khuzwayo, member of Soweto Committee, Vela Kraai of Soweto, Mortimedi Malaka, of Sibasa, Kenneth Matima of Atteridgeville, Mrs. Rebecca Musi of Soweto and Mrs. B. Pityana from the Eastern Cape. Later a number of other detainees were released, including Dr. Nthatho Motlana, of Soweto, and Rev, P. Mkhatshwa, of Pretoria. Peter JONES detained with Steve Biko, has been transferred to Internal Security Act detention, and there is no intention of charging him, according to the Minister of Police. Also transferred to ISA detention were: Barney PITYANA, Patrick TITI, Thami ZANI, Ms Zoliswa NQABENI, Moki CEKISANI, Ray MAGIDA, Fikile MLINDA, Mbuyiselo MADAKA, Ms Asha RAMBALLY and Mr McGLORY.
