Eight Guguletu pupils, previously detained under Section 6 of the Terrorism Act, appeared in a Cape Town magistrate's court on charges of sabotage in four separate hearings, on 3 March. They were not asked to plead, no evidence was led and the cases were postponed to the Hermanus Regional Court. Six of them were remanded in custody. Joseph M. PANTSHWA (22) and Mzolisi PAYISA (21) were remanded till 25 April, as were two unnamed youths. Sipho SINGISWE (18) and Solomon JACK (18) were remanded until 17 April. Kildas BOQWANA (18) and an unnamed youth were remanded till 1 May. The youth also appeared in a separate charge, with Edison PAYISA (18), and they were remanded till 8 May.
