There have been two reports of cases of alleged kidnapping by the SA Police in Swaziland. In the first Swaziland police confirmed the disappearance of Victor MAYISELA, a South African citizen and school principal, and Mr. CAIPHUSNMAMBA, a Swazi sugar worker, who were thought to have been kidnapped after a struggle near the South African border on the third week of January. On 27 February Maputo radio reported an attack on two ANC members in Swaziland by SA Police, saying that one was in hospital and the other, William MANGANE, had disappeared, presumed abducted. The attack was said to have taken place on 22 February.
