Conviction of a 17-year-old youth under the Terrorism Act.

A 17-year-old youth from Soweto was on 21 August convicted in Johannesburg Regional Court under the Terrorism Act and sentenced to five years' imprisonment.

The State alleges that the youth helped two others to go to Botswana when requested to do so. The two persons assisted were named as Edward Buthelezi and Patrick Mzimkhulu.
