IDAF BRIEFING PAPERS

IDAF Briefing Papers examine particular topics in greater depth than is possible in FOCUS. They are published three times a year and are automatically sent free of charge to FOCUS subscribers. Copies are also available free on request.

Briefing Paper No. 6 (November 1982) is now available — Namibia: The Elusиве Settlement, Update on negotiations since 1981.

The International Defence and Aid Fund for Southern Africa has the following objects

(i) to aid, defend and rehabilitate the victims of unjust legislation and oppressive and arbitrary procedures; (ii) to support their families and dependants (iii) to keep the conscience of the world alive to the issues at stake.

Affiliated committees of IDAF exist in the following countries: Australia, Britain, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and United States of America.

Under Clause (iii) of its objects, IDAF has a broad publications programme of books, visual material and pamphlets, which are distributed world-wide. A catalogue of available publications may be obtained from IDAF Publications Dept., 104 Newgate Street, London EC1A 7AP.

FOCUS is published six times a year by IDAF under Clause (iii) of its objects. It aims to keep international opinion informed about repression in Southern Africa, in support of the call for the release of all political prisoners in South Africa and Namibia.
