As announced in FOCUS 41, a Council of Trustees was established in May 1982 by the Adoption of a Deed of Trust to administer the Fund, with Canon Collins, the Founder, as President during his lifetime. By his foresight in setting up this Council, the late Canon Collins ensured that the humanitarian work of the Fund would not only continue but could grow in response to increased requests for assistance.

The Council now has five Trustees as follows: Archbishop Trevor Huddleston, C.R. Chairman Mr Ernst Michanek (former head of SIDA, Sweden, for 16 years) - Vice-Chairman Mr T Stoltenberg (with the Norwegian LO (Trade Union Federation) formerly Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Defence in Norway) Mrs Diana Collins (United Kingdom) (formerly a Vice-President of IDAF) Professor T van Boven (presently Professor of Law, University of Limburg, Maastricht, the Netherlands, formerly Director of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights) Lord Campbell (United Kingdom, Chairman of the New Statesman for 15 years, who has agreed to act as a Trustee until Archbishop Huddleston returns to England in June this year. Until then, Mr Michanek is Acting Chairman)

Two additional Trustees will be appointed at a later stage.

The Trustees will be assisted by a Consultative Committee elected by delegates to the Annual Conference of the Fund from among the Affiliated National Committees.

Mrs Phyllis Altman is Director of the Fund.

The headquarters of the Fund will be moving to a new building. The address from July is given below.
