RESISTANCE TO CONSCRIPTION At the end of June Citizen Force (SADF conscripts) 30-day call-ups were doubled to cope with the continuing resistance in the townships. Conscripts can now be called up for 60 days of continuous active service within the borders of South Africa. Previously conscripts were required in alternate years to do 90 days of active service, and 30 days of training and courses. (DN 25.6.85)
