The International Defence and Aid Fund for Southern Africa is a humanitarian organisation which has worked consistently for peaceful and constructive solutions to the problems created by racial oppression in Southern Africa. The objects of the Fund are:- (i) to aid, defend and rehabilitate the victims of unjust legislation and oppressive and arbitrary procedures, (ii) to support their families and dependents, (iii) to keep the conscience of the world alive to the issues at stake. IDAF committees exist in Britain, Canada, Finland, India, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden.
